My picture is based on the girl with a pearl earring portrait done by Vermeer. I chose this picture because it shows that even when my life is a blur or I have conflicts I still put a smile on my face. Other reasoning behind this is that the bright yellow flower surrounded by black and white shows that I am unique and different. I think this shows my creativity and my personality. It shows that I am very bubbly and artsy. The quote under it also shows that I am independant and I believe that if I want something it needs to be done by me and no one else.
To transform into the person I want to be I will be kind to others and try to be a better person when it comes to helping others and giving back. I also want to live with no regrets so I will really try to think about the decisions I make. A quote I picked that connects to Griet is said by Cathrina about Griet, "She's dishonest, always sneaking around, shirking her work!" I think this relates to me because when Griet is being trash talked she still remains true to herself and thats a lot like how I look at life. Another quote I chose is said by Griet, " I may only be a maid, but I would never give in to master Van Ruijven." This also shows that she sticks to her morals and I agree with this and I plan to do the same.
